Amidst the age-old weight of terror, humans have consistently risen in resistance, seeking freedom from the shackles of mind and body. This indomitable spirit of defiance resonates profoundly in the artistry of Hooman Sharifi, a Norwegian choreographer with Iranian roots. Transitioning from the vibrant pulse of hip-hop to the grace of classical and modern ballet, Sharifi not only dances but weaves a vivid narrative at the nexus of dance, theater, and graphic art. Intertwining art with civic engagement and politics, Sharifi’s intense choreography challenges our perceptions of power and violence.
