About BLKDOG:

BLKDOG is a powerful and gripping experience in which Botis deeply examines the challenges of aging as an artist. The performance, a fascinating blend of hip-hop dance and free expression, immerses the audience into the inner conflicts of an artist clinging to his youthfulness.

The show had its premiere in 2019 at Sadler's Wells Theatre in London, where it received overwhelming responses. That same year, Botis Seva won an Olivier Award for BLKDOG, making him the first hip-hop choreographer to receive this prestigious British theater accolade.

"Vibrant and captivating" is how Botis' masterful portrayal of the struggles artists face as they age is described. The ominous soundtrack, a collaboration with Torben Lars Sylvest, is performed by the ensemble Far From The Norm. In BLKDOG, the characters explore ways to cope with setbacks, in an eternal quest for acceptance.
