For almost 20 years, the successful concept DansClick has served as a springboard for young creators to tour together.

DansClick is a national tour of the most exciting names in the dance world. Since 2013, the winners of the BNG Bank Dance Prize have received a DansClick tour. The performances are always framed with video portraits of the makers and the Après Danse; an informal meeting between audience, makers and dancers on stage, over drinks. The winner of the BNG Bank Dance Award 2023 is Sheree Lenting. Besides the winner of the BNG Bank Dance Award, Korzo also presents its own maker Tú Hoàng during DansClick 26. During this evening you will see two pieces: I am my ancestors wildest dreams by Sheree Lenting and False Memories by Tú Hoàng and Hiro Murata. 

The BNG dance jury says the following about Sheree Lenting: 'The jury sees in Sheree Lenting a curious, critical maker who is carefully searching for a beautiful, poetic and rich (dance) language for sharing both big and small stories. And even though these can seem difficult and complicated, she knows how to make them accessible. The jury believes that much more potential awaits in this maker.

About I am my ancestors wildest dreams by Sheree Lenting

Through the eyes of Choreographer Sheree Lenting, you'll look into the wildest dreams of her foremothers(matriarchs). In the performance by choreographer Sheree Lenting, she takes you into their now untold stories from the past, present and the future.

She questions, explores and cherishes her lineage of women. The dancers are the embodiment of the stories. In them, Cicely Wijnaldum and Ciara Hiwat take you into womanhood. With the POWER, wisdom and love of their female ancestors as their legacy, they look confidently towards their future.

About False Memories by Tú Hoàng & Hiro Murata

False Memories is the result of a four-year collaboration between the two choreographers who danced at Conny Janssen Danst. The choreography is created around the concept of the psychological mind, through the perspective of two individuals that have an unspeakable connection with each other. In an abstract way, the feeling that they are one entity in their spiritual world remains, whether they are together or separated in physicality. Our memory is a very fragile concept. Sometimes we remember things the way we want them to be. Our imagination takes us to escape our own reality in order to find comfort or peace.
