Bounce, it is from there that everything originates. The rebound, a simple word that translates one of the fundamentals of our dance. The space between the sounds and the impact of the ground in our bodies.

The choreographic essay Bounce brings together ten dancers from S.O.W. With Bounce, Sons of Wind affirm their strong connection to hip hop freestyle and reflect on how the bounce inspires and nourishes the body.

What about the origins of what we see nowadays everywhere on television and in music videos? Over the years, hip hop dances have evolved and enriched dance in various ways. Indeed, gradually, these dances that could be defined as “social” have been propelled into the spotlight - with the help of the advent of social networks. This strong visibility has been accompanied by reflection and awareness on the part of the artists involved." The choreographic essay Bounce brings together ten dancers from S.O.W. With Bounce, Sons of Wind affirm their strong connection to hip hop freestyle and reflect on how the bounce inspires and nourishes the body.  

This project was born from the desire to share what members of Sons of Wind defend on a daily basis: this constant back and forth between music and movement where energy, bounce, rock, roll and groove stem from the deep and unique connection that each dancer maintains with music, in battles as well as in clubs. Thus, in addition to being the main driving force, the sonoric body entirely guides the development of this project. The singular presence of music is sincerely highlighted. Here, Sons of Wind will therefore mainly produce the tracks featured in the performance.
