Our makers

From new makers to established names. Our makers cover the full breadth of the performing arts: from drama to dance, from physical theatre and performance to storytelling and community art. From the small and large auditorium to the neighbourhood. We proudly present: the makers of Theater Rotterdam.

TR maker community


Theater Rotterdam wholeheartedly opts for a large, diverse community of makers. They make non-conformist, often interdisciplinary theatre, in which the unspoken rules of theatre-making are challenged. Their commitment to contemporary social issues is palpable in work that varies in signature.

New makers

 

We research, produce and innovate with a broad palette of new makers. They deal with current themes such as decolonisation, radicalisation, community building, new rituals and activism. In this way, we are committed to innovation in the performing arts in the broadest sense of the word.
